My chase partner and I intercepted 4 severe storms during the severe thunderstorm outbreak of July 19th, 2013 across Southern Ontario.
Storm 1 (Cambridge): produced 90 km/h winds, torrential rain, and some nice lightning.
Storm 2 (Jerseyville): produced a damaging downburst with winds likely topping 115 km/h bringing down many trees, a light-post, and causing damage to corn fields. Multiple power outages resulted from the storm.
Storm 3 (Olympic Park): produced a destructive downburst with peak wind estimated around 130 km/h causing extensive tree damage, ripping a car port from a house, and causing many other reports of structural damage in the area. Power outages lasted for days in some areas, with the cleanup lasting even longer.
Storm 4 (Sir Allan MacNab School): produced winds gusting to around 100 km/h adding to the previous damage along with insanely frequent and intense lightning with many CG's.
