Photos and Video Blizzard right now (Sat. Feb.16/2013)

For the last hour or longer we've been under white-out conditions with heavy snowfall and strong winds.

I took some shots from inside the house but they don't do justice to anything. I'll have them posted tomorrow (sunday) hopefully, along with some video.

Sure wasn't expecting THIS!

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT UPDATED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 10:16 PM

FLURRIES HEAVY AT TIMES EASING OFF THIS EVENING.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT ENDED FOR:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
==DISCUSSION==
A SMALL DISTURBANCE MOVING OVER LAKE ONTARIO TOWARDS THE EASTERN
NIAGARA REGION AND ANOTHER SMALL DISTURBANCE OVER SOUTHWESTERN
ONTARIO HAVE CAUSED FLURRIES TO INTENSIFY AND BECOME QUITE FREQUENT.
FLURRIES, QUITE HEAVY AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING BEFORE
DIMINISHING OVERNIGHT. LOCAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 10 CM ARE
EXPECTED.

VISIBILITY WILL ALSO BE REDUCED AT TIMES TO 500 METRES, AND MAY
BRIEFLY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 250 METRES UNDER BURSTS OF HEAVIER
SNOW.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN HAZARDOUS WINTER DRIVING
CONDITIONS FROM NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY IN BURSTS OF HEAVY SNOW AND
RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW ON UNTREATED ROADS.

PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND WARNINGS FROM ENVIRONMENT
CANADA AT WWW.WEATHEROFFICE.GC.CA.

END

Still shots really don't show much of anything the way the snow-filled air was swirling all over...
