Default Hot hot hot

Humidex temps today in southern Ontario expected to reach 40C. It's been a very dry summer so far, I was waiting to see when things would finally get back to normal...

But it's a good thing because the hot humid weather is good fuel for storms (which have been very far and few between so far this year).

Buffalo's not looking for much but SW Ontario with the early evening arrival of the cold front could see some good action tomorrow.

HIGH PRESSURE ANCHORED ALONG THE EAST COAST WILL MAINTAIN A
SOUTHERLY FLOW OF VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR MONDAY. AN UPPER
TROUGH PUSHING INTO THE GREAT LAKES WILL DRIVE A COLD FRONT
SOUTHWARD TOWARD THE REGION. MODELS HAVE TRENDED SLOWER WITH THIS
FEATURE BRINGING THE BOUNDARY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. COULD SEE
CONVECTION DEVELOP DURING THE DAY MONDAY WELL AHEAD OF THE FRONT
MAINLY TIED TO WEAK HEIGHT FALLS AND LOW LEVEL MOISTURE
TRANSPORT...MOST LIKELY FAVORED ALONG THE LAKESHORE BREEZE
CONVERGENCE AREAS AND OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. INTERIOR SECTIONS
LIKELY WILL SEE TEMPERATURES ABOVE 90...WITH MID TO UPPER 80S
ELSEWHERE. GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR CONVECTION LOOKS TO BE MONDAY
NIGHT ALONG AND JUST AHEAD OF FRONT WITH THE ARRIVAL OF LARGER
SCALE FORCING. FRONTAL TIMING WOULD SUGGEST A LIMITED SEVERE
POTENTIAL WITH DIMINISHING DIURNAL INSTABILITY...HOWEVER SHEAR
PROFILES SUGGESTING THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONGER WIND GUSTS.

MONDAY..ISOLATED NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHERN ONTARIO.
SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS DUE TO GUSTY
WINDS AND HAIL. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK SCATTERED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEASTERN ONTARIO. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE
STORMS IS LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS.THERE
IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO
MONDAY NIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT IN THAT AREA IS STRONG WINDS AND
ISOLATED TORNADOES.

Pretty lousy year thus far. Once again southern ontario has been taken out of the slight risk from SPCs outlook. Fingers crossed I guess. Lets hope it's made up for with the coming months.

Well that's interesting.
