I've made a video of my Storm Chasing/Skywarn Spotting Vehicle. I hope you find it informative:

Enjoy!

Nice ride!! Mine's an '07 Chevy Avalanche LTZ. I still need to lift it a bit, and put on a bull bar with fog lights.... if I ever find the time...

Sounds cool. I'm open for video responses to my Storm Chase Vehicle on YouTube, should you ever make a video of it.

Mine is by no means a 'chase-dedicated' vehicle It's just my daily driver that I -use- for chasing. No radio antenna, no warning/hazard lights, etc. Just a plain truck.

Mine's not dedicated to storm chasing either. I also take it on Road Trips around the country. Of course, I usually plan my road trips around severe weather potential. I've always wanted to "experience" a CAT 5 Hurricane (inland away from the storm surge). I also take it out in severe Winter Storms and Blizzards. I pretty much like all kinds of storms, but my personal favorite are Derechos.

Yah mine's pretty much a stock Avalanche. Great fun in heavy snow, but I just got it last fall so it hasn't lost its storm virginity yet Hopefully soon if this dull weather would end!

I aquired a 2003 dodge ram 2500 2wd single cab earlier this year. would have been nice to have a 4x4 but i got it dirt cheap so im making due. it needs some work before its ready but it will be my chase vehicle when its finished. At least the engine and drivetrain is rock solid.

No video, don't have a permanent vehicle for the chase just use my Jeep, or enough "stuff" to make a video worthwhile
But I just assembled a blog post about my little storm kit box

Apparently as long as I have it with me, storms seem to be going out of their way to avoid me.

Ain't that always how it works... The more prepared one gets for a storm, the less likely it is to happen.
