Ahem...the government "bans" storm chasing until the inquiry into the deaths of Dr. Jonas Millar and Eddie is complete. So, it's up to our heroes to re-unite and prove that they, indeed, deserved getting the business end of a radio tower through the windshield...
Then the government, in order to stop just anyone from chasing, sticks a "chasing tax/licence" on everyone. As well, most of North America has the cell phone bans, meaning our heroes now have to use instincts rather than technology. Scary stuff...;-)
Plus, having Helen all wet and muddy sure would help...next!

it would be humorously ironic if the second movie with that theme wound up getting chasing banned in the states because of a second chaser explosion just like after the first, hehe. I still couldn't imagine chasing a storm with a few dozen people on both sides of me, only ONCE has someone got out of their car to take some pics with me after seeing me . Other than that the odd person here and there asking what's up with the storm and if there will be any tornado's etc.... Cops a couple times too asking me what I'm doing and one lady asking me if I was okay( I think she thought I was insane)
