Default Mayflies on radar.

Radar is picking up the Mayflies tonight in Windsor Essex.

I know radar can detect tens of thousand strong bat flocks and birds, but I doubt it can detect mayflies. Exeter radar scans 10,000 to 15,000-ish feet above Windsor, so if you were using Detroit radar it was probably moisture in the air. I don't know the exact terms, but radar shows moisture around sunset.

I did to show friends, didnt think it would be a debate on here, figured someone would have known this. You can tell because there is no percipitation yet the radar shows storms around the edges of the lake depending on the wind direction.

Too bad there ain't no larger map showing more area. Because normally when that happens, it ain't Mayflies. Not even mother nature made.

When radars are running in clear-air mode, even SMOKE can show up on radar. So depending on how fine a resolution the radar is running at, anything that is big enough to bounce part of the signal back, will show up.
