Not sure we can put much faith in predictions of 2040 this far out, but I'll leave you to judge that for yourselves... I just thought it was interesting. :P The main highlight for us is that they predict fewer storms per year for Toronto 30 years from now, but an increase in the number of "very intense" storms. We'll see!

I did think that the predicted temperature changes were a *little* extreme.
![]() Not so keen on the idea of less snow by the way, which they tout as a plus - I love the fact that we have proper seasons. |

Humidex 2 summers ago here reached 53C. The days surrounding it had humidex's up in the high 40's range. Due to the heat everyone in our plant was let go early that day. 57C would be survivable, but hardly bearable

It does happen, but it's quite rare even in the states. Making calls for the humidex to increase to 57C at this latitude would mean it would be in the 60s, and perhaps even low 70s, across the Tennessee, and Ohio Valleys. Incredibly unlikely. Plus, everyone would die from the heat.
