Photos and Video Aug.20, 2014 - Tornado in Erin

Skies looking quite dark to the south of my location...a few good rumbles of thunder.

All this on the 5th anniversary of the 2009 outbreak...

Code:
5:28 PM EDT Wednesday 20 August 2014
Tornado warning in effect for:

    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake

Updated or ended by 6:01 p.m. EDT.

At 5:28 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm that is possibly producing a waterspout.

This waterspout is moving northeastwards across Nottawasaga Bay towards Wendake Beach and Wymbolwood Beach before 6 pm.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If the waterspout approaches the shore, take shelter immediately. Treat all funnel clouds and tornadoes seriously.

Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to [email address] or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.

live feed of the cell causing the fuss (removed, no longer relevant)

added this screen cap of the hook, while small it was showing a fair bit of rotation on base velocity radar at the time which prompted the warning

Saw this funnel near Erin earlier tonight. I'm a newbie but it looked like it was kicking stuff up when I first saw it. Sorry about the video quality - it's a Dashcam. Bear with me if the video doesn't show up properly (like I said - newbie).

Apparently, I'm a post shy of allowing links to video on YouTube - sorry. I'll try after posting this one?

Here's a still shot as well. It had roped out by this point and looked like it might get back down but didn't.

The video:

You can see the funnel, off to the left, from about the 2 minute mark (of the YouTube clip not the time embedded on the video - that's UTC -+0) . I tried making a left and then getting to higher ground but forgot to move the video camera to the right when I exited the car to shoot some stills
