       BURK'S FALLS - BAYFIELD INLET.

      RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES DEVELOPING
       THIS AFTERNOON.

      THIS IS AN ALERT TO THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE
       THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORNADOES..MONITOR WEATHER

      THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN LAKE HURON ARE MOVING TOWARD THE
       NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA. THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL,
       DAMAGING WINDS OR HEAVY RAINFALL. REMEMBER THAT SOME SEVERE
       THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

      MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS AND TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY
       PRECAUTIONS IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES.

 A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER MICHIGAN THIS
 AFTERNOON THEN TRACK RAPIDLY EASTWARD INTO SOUTHERN ONTARIO. SOME OF
 THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL DAMAGING WINDS
 TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THESE STORMS WILL ALSO
 BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORNADOES.

THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO REACH AREAS NEAR LAKE
 HURON NEAR MID AFTERNOON AND THE REMAINDER OF THE REGIONS IN THE LATE
 AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING.

Apparently there was a tornado spotted in Markstay, Ontario. East of Sudbury.

Here is what The Weather Network said:

‎(Alex) Just spoke to the town office in Markstay. They have had no reports of a tornado touchdown, only media inquiries. We'd just like to remind everyone that at this point, no tornado WARNINGS have been issued; only a WATCH. We are continuing to monitor the development of thunderstorms but ask that everyone please remain calm and only report severe weather if you see it happening in your area.

Numerous people on the Weather Network fan page said they seen a tornado, a friend of mine said her aunt seen a tornado, and Tony Ryma from CTV News Northern Ontario said he heard someone say that there was a tornado. But, as you see above, there was no reports of a touch down. Must have just been a funnel cloud.

On days like today everyone thinks they are seeing a tornado... especially around this area where people have no concept of severe weather.

my brother lives in markstay, i just texted him to see if he's seen or heard anything, just waiting on his response. besides the few cells to the south west of that area, nothing looks out of the ordinary to me imho.

I'm at the reststop just passed Woodstock on the 401. I don't want to get too far down in case I need to get up the side of lake Huron. I guess it's a waiting game now. I check back often if anybody has an idea. I noticed that the storms seem to be moving straight west that are to the north but the hrrr has them looking like they will move southeast down here....
