Tornado warning for
Orangeville - Grand Valley - Southern Dufferin County upgraded from Severe thunderstorm warning
At 2:10 pm EDT, meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm that is capable of producing a tornado.
Storm spotters have reported a funnel cloud just north of Orangeville and it is moving to the south or southeast at 30 km/h.
Communities in the path include: Orangeville, Caledon.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Doppler radar indicates strong rotation in a severe thunderstorm 10 km north of Shelburne and it is moving towards Violet hill at 40 km/h.
Communities in the path include: Shelburne, Violet Hill, Alliston.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
