The storm cells on radar right now are small, but the entire system is rotating, the the intense parts of the cells are very super-cellular looking, with the core right at the back-end of each storm. Hopefully they'll keep building! Although we'll be losing daytime heating soon.

Favourable cold core day. Cold core funnels and waterspouts. Heavy rain and some lightning in some storms as well.

Is it just me or do I see a boundary ? Lot's of mini cells all day around london all with neat structure and showing a little rotation at times. Small updraft with a twist to it over London right now

I know you guys don't really care about qc, but one of the cells near me is showing strong rotation on velocity/radar and looks like a tornado may be already on the ground. From where I am now I can only see this storm. The following is also showing some rotation and may hit me.

Looked like a small supercell had rotation but never made a wall cloud or anything like that.

Got some great shots of a funnel south of London around 1:00pm today. Almost made it to the ground at one point. Will try to post during the week.

Well thank you.
Went on a small chase as a supercell passed by to my northeast. This storm has reportedly produced a tornado barely north of Montreal. I saw lots rotation, even some greenish looking clouds, beautiful structure, shelf cloud and maybe a wall cloud/funnel. Based on the images I took, I think if anything is on the ground, it looks to be rain wrapped. I know that this possible tornado would have been rain wrapped. The I saw around and with that possible funnel/wall was very strong. But I'm disappointed with the pictures, they came out blurry and didn't show the structure the possible wall/funnel well. I had some problems uploading these images so here are the links. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...weather_search http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...weather_search http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...weather_search http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...weather_search http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...weather_search Not too sure what exactly this last one was, had a bad viewpoint. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/you...plpcities/786/ |
