Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County
8:15 PM EDT Saturday 01 June 2013
Tornado warning for
Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County issued

At 8:15 pm EDT, meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm that is capable of producing a tornado.

Storm spotters have reported a funnel cloud near Mount Forest and is moving east.

This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.

If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely. Stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can send an email to [email address].

How wet can it get??? After picking up 60mm of rain tuesday/wednesday last night i recorded another 44mm of rain between 5pm and 3am as showers started training along the peninsula. On the bright side i wont have to water the grass for a couple days.
