I never realized we had sirens until a friend told me she heard them going in Sarnia.
I always thought St Kitts had some (the school at Geneva and Linwell had a giant siren years ago, dont know if it is still there), but someone told me they were from the cold war days. Are there many communities with the sirens? |

Yep, Lambton County has a vast network of sirens. I caught them on video during the May 29, 2011 storms when they were set off for a false tornado report from Emergency Management Ontario.

St. Kitts had war sirens in the North End at Parnell School two actually and I believe one is at another school. They removed the two in the North End, but I can't recall if the the other one was removed yet. Personally, I was at work just before St. Kitt's was Tornado Warned. And honestly, we listen to the AWFUL CD, so if there was a Tornado coming through or in our direction while open we'd have no idea.
