The possible March 8-9 storm could be perfect timing to try out my new lightning trigger if it arrives by then I'm still skeptical, but some people have stated it works very well for daytime lightning.

Big price difference on one of them, is it worth the extra money over the others I wonder?

Hehe for some reason using these would almost feel like cheating a test haha but it would make lightning photography far less frustrating for a change!

None of the ones I listed have sensitivity adjustments, so I'd imagine they all work on the same premise.

From the reviews I've heard, the only one I've noticed poor comments about was the Patchmaster. And I haven't heard anything better about the more expensive ones.

It's kind of like the saying with cigars: Often, the difference between a $5 cigar and a $25 cigar... is $20.

Wow been a while since I've been on! Still trying to find all the place links and ID's I used to have before I blowed up my last PC :/ Maybe I should take backups.

Anyway about to pull the trigger (pun intended) on an AEO lightning trigger from B&H

How are you finding yours and have you been able to find the odd 1/2AA 3.6v lithium batteries it is supposed to take ?

I haven't had a chance to use mine yet. No good lightning storms. Heck, very few storms at all as of late.

But I bought a neutral density filter, so I can do long exposures during the day now anyway (over a minute in bright sunshine). But I'm sure that ONE chance will eventually show up for me to use it

Yes!
I also bought a Lee BigStopper 10 stop ND filter, easily gets your exposures over the minute range!

I wonder if the amount of storms is somehow inversely proportional to the amount of new equipment acquired.
