Around 7pm a nearly stationary thunderstorm developed near Milverton in norhern Perth County. Eventually it picked up speed and inched across Wellesley Township, taking a southeast turn towards Waterloo. About 200 thunders were observed by Buffalo radar. The thunderstorm then took on supercell characteristics on radar, including mid-level and low-level rotation. When the new scan came in, the storm had progressed to St. Jacobs in Woolwich Township- about 5km north of here- with a small hook echo. We hoped in the car and drove north to intercept it.
After we left, the storm fizzled, but we caught a brief wall cloud and possible funnel cloud. Because the photos are over 1mb, you'll have to click on each to view.
