A well respected E.C. staffer comments "It actually shows up in the 2300Z METAR for that day as well. No fake! =)"

Must have been a waterspout or cold core tornado? I wish there was more information. NWT's strongest confirmed tornado occurred in Yellowknife in the 1970s. It was a kilometre wide F2 tornado!
