American Tornado Siren Thread
I have a couple videos on my Youtube channel of the Sarnia area tornado siren network, and I live only 15km from the only non-Lambton County tornado siren network in Ontario. There have been some siren threads on this forum, but here is one where you can post some eerie video's of the US tornado siren call if you know of any.
This one is pretty awesome, but I think it's only a test since it's sunny. Larned, Kansas. Downtown Chicago And my most favourite episode: Ellis Kansas before the large extremely dangerous tornado of 2008 Part 2 Ellis after the tornado My own video: Marysville Michigan recorded from Corunna Ontario(which has 3 tornado sirens of its own)

I love those talking tornado sirens!
This is a crazy talking siren example from a St. Louis tornado warning. Whenever a tornado warning goes up for St. Louis, I always fire open the EarthCam Network and have a good listen to those sirens live in downtown. No one ever follows the siren instruction though  I love this one, "a tornado warning has been issued for the city of St. Louis! Oh and if anyone was wondering how big a tornado siren is...

Back in the 60's every community had at least one of these air raid sirens but the aging system started having failures in the 80's and upkeep outweighed its usefulness and many were removed. They used to hold tests every couple years which would last about a minute, very haunting sound similar to the one in the first video posted maybe a bit deeper tone. There was a failure in the 70's/80's were some around the province/country went off for about an hour sparked some fears of war.

Shot this video in Topeka the other day during a test. Didn't use a big enough memory card for my camera so I only recorded half of it. Still, sounds actually quite terrifying.
