TWN mentioned the corner of Dundas and Brant St. as a possible tornado (right now). I'm near that intersection...my intuition kicked in and my wife and kids went down right after the power failed. Didn't stay off for long...my last post was sent from the floor of the cold cellar. That was quite a storm! just put the kids to bed...will comment later!

..Ok so..the entire storm has almost passed (just light yellowsand greens on radar)....anvil crap..you know

but ...yet..there are lightning strikes occuring again, intense lightning..and..the winds are picking up and the clouds are really low..you can see them racing accross the sky..I didn't think this happened way back at the end of a storm (oshawa)

Looking at radar images, it proabably was a tornado.

Just got back home.....the highlight of the chase for me was the lightning. Was in Exeter when the cell with the hook that passes over the bottom of Huron lost steam as it came ashore, that was my only play for daylight so I got behind the line as it formed and saw the best display of lightning in my life. I drove southeast back to the 401 from Exeter through Stratford looking at the back of the line as it intensified at dusk and then back east on the 401. Intense long lasting anvil crawlers and huge thick cg's and bomb like thunder on a couple of close strikes. I had to have seen 1500-2000 flashes of one type or another over 3.5 hrs driving Thank god cause i was a little downered about losing daylight. Anyways 620k in the books....still haven't bagged a tornado but it was a good day in the end...I'm so sick of checking weather stuff on my iPhone it's not funny! Burns you right out when combined with driving and navigating...

I had a strange feeling all day. I chatted with everyone I met today about the weather. It honestly felt like the afternoon of May 31, 1985...strong sw winds...building temps/humidity...but this time I had the internet to access info rather than rely on a looped Weatheradio announcement.

I imagine EC and everyone else has a lot of work ahead of them...ther was a lot of energy in this system. I really hope that there are no injuries tonight.
