Nothing in Ottawa So Far... No Warnings.. And from the radar, it looks like the line's going to miss us and if it does, it would be around 4-5 am. Good thing I head out for work that early I might be able to get some action but I doubt it.

just back from a fun time, im nestled in newmarket, i went down the 400 to hwy 9 then up through tottenham then back to 400 and hwy 9 into newmarket. this is what i saw, to dark for pictures.

lots of rain moderate winds at hwy 9, as i headed toward orangeville, the rain and hail started, about 1/2 hail i would guess, it was cracking off the windsheild pretty good. i headided north into tottenham, spectacular lightning lots rain and hail, same size, when i got into tottenham the rain stopped but there was a very low hanging evil looking dark cloud coming at me from the west (maybe a wall cloud?? couldnt see any rotation because of low light and tree cover) i decided to get out of there and went due north as fast as i could to the 6th line and then went parallel to the storm untill hwy 400, around 8:50 pm i saw some bright green flashes in the brantford area, i couldnt see if there was anything there really but the flashes were slow and long lived...i saw a mention of rotation near brantford earlier here so maybe???

anyway, headed back to newmarket, the cell to the south was ferocious with lightning. at hwy 9 and the 400 i experience near quarter sized hail, frequent close strikes of lightning. power went out in the west side of newmarket shortly after 9pm, after following that a while longer i decided to retire the chase at my fiances house.

what a storm, havent seen one like that a several years i have some pics of the cell that moved over barrie around 7:15 pm which i'll post tommorow when im home.
