Photos Aug.4, 1999 - storm chase, tornado damage in Hamilton

August 4th, 1999 - Severe thunderstorms spawn tornadosA cold front triggered severe storms over Burlington, Hamilton, and Niagara, producing funnel clouds in many places and tornado touchdowns on Hamilton mountain and in north Burlington. In Hamilton, roofs were ripped from houses and fences were flattened, and in Burlington a mobile home (suprise) was lifted into the air and ripped to shreds, with its debris scattered amongst a nearby field.

Damage in Hamilton:

Remains of mobile home in Burlington:

Video captures of my chases (various areas: St. Catharines, Thorold, Fonthill, Pelham, Wainfleet, Port Colborne, NOTL, Welland, West Lincoln, and everywhere in between)
