Im pertty sure they will confirm it as straight line winds. There was little to no rotation on radar at the time these storms hit that area.

TWN said straight-line winds were the culprit, but there hasn't been an official statement yet.

Have you guys noticed the fear mongering propaganda on TWN lately? They over exaggerate on every chance they get now. Reporting on volcanic eruptions thousands of miles away that have nothing to do with our weather, and stating things as such; "We are due for a big tornado" (whatever that means) .

Check their website and look at their articles. They were never like this because I frequently check their website and even more so in the past. This must be a move based on the political agenda.

for example

fear mongering bullcrap

HAHAHA that is the best post I have read in a while! Are you really serious Raedwulf? Did you even READ that article!?
It's not telling people to head for the hills.....just to expect a big storm every now and again. Do you not agree? Heck they have been calling for a big Earthquake to hit S. California for some time now. What's wrong with that? Keeping it on the edge of peoples minds IS a good thing, y'know. Us Canadians are more laid back and have the mentality that "Big storms will never happen to us" - which is dead wrong. (remember that F5 in Manitoba????)
As for the volcanic stories, it's in their "International News" segment of their newcast. Plus those recent eruptions in Iceland effect major air traffic between North America and Europe - that's a pretty big news story. If you're not interested in what kind of weather/nature phenonenon is happening around this awesome planet, then sobeit.
And saying that politics is involved - That was the kicker! You look into these thing way to deeply dude.
