Woke up to pouring rain, lightning and thunder. The weather network issued a lightning alert for Oshawa.
I'm not sure if this is a new addition to the weather network...I haven't noticed it before. They also have a lightning distance calculator.

Severe thunderstorm warning for
Manitoulin Island issued

At 6:00 AM EDT, meteorologists are tracking an area of thunderstorms capable of producing 90 km/h gusts, small hail and locally heavy downpours.

These thunderstorms have already produced wind gusts in excess of 80 km/h in easter upper Michigan.
