title says it all pretty much. Im a 30 yr old full time high school teacher here in London (but storm chaser at heart). far from an expert but this has been a passion of mine since I can remember (how many 13 year olds buy a book on cloud types / formations and memorize it?)
looking to meet up with other local area chasers on storm days - (my girlfriend is getting tired of me making her go with me - but hey, its hard to read the updated radar, google maps , take pics, and drive right? ) you can *** guess I do not have enough posts to provide email - so lets try phone 519-851-**** - texting works too - edited to avoid spam!! (that felt a little too much like a write up for a dating site..! oh well, ) anyone like the looks of Aug. 2 ?? Last edited by LondonSpartan; 08-09-2011 at 05:57 PM. |

We have some seasoned SWON chasers on here -- good luck in finding a chase partner, Spartan!
And we have a thread right now discussing August 2 -- it'll pick up in activity by tomorrow. Unfortunately we don't really have any forecasters on here -- just hobbyists and the like. I personally think she'll be a dud any where northeast of London. ![]()

and you are correct whomever mentioned this year has been a bit of a let down (though I have seen a few good ones - 3 to be exact. - one meso with crazy rotation at the base - thought it might drop, but nope. . drech. the other two - wind so strong ripped my driver side wiper right off while driving - yikes..bad roads, its was moving fast too. other 3rd, what the storm just two wks ago that dropped the F2 just SW of London. I hoped on that exact cell, just SW of London...couldnt have missed by more than 30min. great structure though. good pics. |

Just a note to all - it's best to post phone numbers and email addresses in private messages (PMs) only.
ESPECIALLY email addresses - anything posted on a public place will be recorded by spam bots that search the web for email addresses, and you'll end up on a hundred different email spam scripts. This forum has a feature which changes the text of emails into a graphic, but it's still not safe posting email addresses anywhere on the web. You'll wake up every morning to find 200 spam emails in your inbox each day. Just a heads up!

What high school do you teach at hope, hehe hope it`s not beal or south secondary you`ll remember me for the wrong reasons haha. Anyways I chase in Middlesex and surrounding counties for the past 6 years (I`m 24) and continure to do so. This year I took it easy because 2008-2010 I put a lot of effort into chasing and taking it easy this year but maybe for 2012 we can chase aggressively...plus it would be nice to chase with radar for once haha.
