 ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA
 AT 11:15 PM EDT SATURDAY 5 JUNE 2010.
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
 WATCHES/WARNINGS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHERN ONTARIO...

TORNADO WARNING FOR:
 =NEW= WINDSOR - LEAMINGTON - ESSEX COUNTY.

      A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED OVER WAYNE COUNTY IS TRACKING
       EASTWARD INTO ESSEX COUNTY.  THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
       A TORNADO.

      THIS IS A WARNING THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORNADOES ARE
       IMMINENT OR OCCURRING IN THESE REGIONS.  MONITOR WEATHER
       CONDITIONS.  TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

TORNADO WATCH FOR:
       WINDSOR - ESSEX - CHATHAM-KENT.

      THUNDERSTORMS OVER LOWER MICHIGAN WILL MOVE INTO ONTARIO LATE
       THIS EVENING.  SOME OF THESE STORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
       BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL, STRONG WINDS AND LOCAL
       DOWNPOURS.  ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE ALSO A POSSIBILITY WITH
       SYSTEM.  THIS IS AN ALERT TO THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF
       TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING
       WINDS.

      MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS.
       IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY
       PRECAUTIONS.

My friends family in Tecumseh are fine. My grandparents are near Sarnia, keeping an eye out for them. Tornado Watch issued for all southeast Michigan.

At one point, radar might have indicated a debris ball near Maidstone, Ontario southeast of Windsor.

Warning was downgraded to a watch, but a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect.

So far just rain in the GTA. Hoping some of this weather makes its way up here.

  AT 11:06 AM EDT MONDAY 7 JUNE 2010.

ESSEX COUNTY STORM DAMAGE
 -------------------------------------------------------------
 ==WEATHER EVENT DISCUSSION==

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TRACKING THROUGH ESSEX COUNTY LEFT THEIR
 MARK ON THE AREA EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  MANY REPORTS OF EXTENSIVE
 DAMAGE RELAYED FROM THE OPP COVERED A SWATH FROM NEAR HARROW TO
 LEAMINGTON. ENVIRONMENT CANADA DAMAGE SURVEY TEAM HAS CONFIRMED F1
 TORNADO 1 KM IN LENGTH ALONG THE LAKE ERIE SHORELINE SOUTHWEST OF
 LEAMINGTON. IN ADDITION, IN THE SOUTH END OF LEAMINGTON THERE IS A 1
 KM WIDE AND 5 KM LONG TRACK OF STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE ASSOCIATED
 WITH THE SAME STORM.

ENVIRONMENT CANADA CONTINUES ITS SURVEY TODAY AS THERE IS STILL A 35
 KM LONG STRETCH OF DAMAGE THAT REMAINS TO BE INVESTIGATED. WE WILL
 CONTINUE TO UPDATE THIS STATEMENT AS NEW RESULTS BECOME  AVAILABLE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SUMMARY CONTAINS THE OBSERVATIONS AT
 THE TIME OF BROADCAST AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN OFFICIAL
 AND FINAL REPORT OF THE WEATHER EVENTS OR THE HIGH
