Now, the announcer just said, there's a tornado warning now for Durham, but it'll stay east of there, so let's focus on Lindsay.

LMAO.

Does anyone know how many cities in S. Ontario have actual, working sirens?

I'm glad they dont' have them. With the # of false warnings that happen every season, we'd never get any sleep.

Actually I think St. Catharines has something they COULD use... down at the canal you can year big sirens going off when the locks are opening/closing sometimes. And I believe if you go down Lakeshore Rd. towards the canal, just before the bridge on the left hand side there's a siren tower there. 'Used to be at least.

But sirens wouldn't do any good unless they were allowed to be controlled completely by local personnel.

@Derecho Ah

@DarkSky I suppose they could, though you don't really hear them throughout the entire city, I barely hear them from where I live in the North end.

Tch, I think that Illinois cell shifted again.

DTX radar shows the storms moving east, CLE radar shows em moving northeast.

K guys/gal, please put quick one-line responses in ChatBox - or just hang out there and chat.

These threads were created more for hosting information and more 'lengthy' discussions, but with over 250 posts in this thread, most of them being just quick comments between a handful of people... that's really not what these forums were for.

Here is the link to the full ChatBox, please use that for talking back and forth between each other. Thank you!!
