Default July 26/09 Tornado forms in Allegany state park

Some amazing video of a tornado forming in Allegany state park New York around 7Pm. Reminds me of a weird one I saw on July 26/08 in Ontario

Just wait until it forms, jump to the 5 minute mark if you are not so patient

Woah! That's amazing. I love tornadoes on the sides of mountains, such a different perspective!

Almost looked more like a rotating wall cloud (or funnel on the ground - which I know by definition is a tornado) from how slow it was rotating. Nice!

I swear I have seen this happen twice, once on July 26, 2008 and another from a cold core funnel that touched down twice on June 25, 2009 within a ten minute drive from where I saw the Avon F2. It makes it to the ground but rotates slowly and causes little to no damage but is obviously not a scud bomb

great video, I'd say its more than a slow moving funnel. This video is being shot from quite a distance i'd say between .5 to one kilometer away so it gives the impression of slow movement. at the 6:48 mark he zooms in breifly and you can see the trees swaying and the rain torrents blowing accross a pond. I'd guess winds of 80-100mph at the core. The funnel appears to dissapate at the end lasting approx 30 seconds
