Default July 7, 2010 Storm north of London

Here are some shots of that line that was north of London. The whole life of the line consisted of and updraft backbuilding, popping and breifly becoming a thunderstorm then as it hits it peak a new one would start up to its west and follow the same cycle. Each consecutive one got stronger untill the strongest one occured around 6 pm then after that the cycle began to weaken with each following updraft.

These shots give an Idea of what was going on around the time the biggest one was starting up

Now this was starting to look somewhat interesting for what I was expecting to see (nothing)

I noticed this was the only cell that began to edge it backside closer to London while keeping the core stationary, it's like the flank was pivoting around the core. I left to try and get a nice scenic shot of the cell from the hill by the childrens hospital but the speed of the flank heading south surprised me and could only get a shot at a red light. Still looked cool and did not expect that structure even if it kept that look for only ten minutes and began to weaken again

Now I made it to Londons eastern edge the storm was weakenening but had a small lowering on it with little to no rotation and some lift.

As it fell apart an updraft began to backbuild right behind the original cell. This small base was dropping some cg's

It grew in size for a bit, dumped a core and that was the end of the day. Good enough for a slight fix

Nice shots! That cloud build-up would have looked great in time-lapse!

Thanks for posting that itchy I kept checking back to the radar to see how long it was going to last. I wonder if there is anywhere else ( I
Can't think of any) that would have the two lake breezes coming together like that area has. Was wondering what it looked like thanks again!

@DarkSky- yea I had a brain fart and totally forgot to do any timelapse of the building clouds, I did do one of a lowering that was shrinking away under the storm
@Smokin Joe - If I hear the word lakebreeze I keep my eye out, that effect can take a weak setup and produce the odd landspout or other severe weather event time to time.
