After the storm passed, I actually heard this random whistling sound and then the wind picked up just a little to about 40 km/h or so I'd say. The first thing that came to my mind was tornado.

Radar showed a tornado moving from western Kitchener SE through Cambridge towards Flamborough. Lots of damage reports on the scanner from south Kitchener. And, I'm in Waterloo.

I heard that winds topped 200 km/h in North Burlington.

My condo just got hit by lightning and it was the most unique sound i've ever heard. I could pretty much feel the air expand and my ears popped. It sounded like a giant bubble popping followed by the loudest bang i've ever heard.

Apparently CityTV is now reporting that a train was derailed in Burlington. Sources are friends and social networking sites.

Same here. My condo looks right at the CN Tower and it's getting hit almost every minute
