Default Jun.14/11 - Funnel cloud spotted near Birch Hills

An area 150 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon was hit Tuesday afternoon by a hail storm, torrential rain, and a funnel cloud.
“That was one heck of a storm,” said Gerry McCann, general manager of the Birch Hills Co-op gas bar and grocery store.
Around noon, the sky darkened and hail “the size of a thumbnail” pelted the town.
from wxdog: "Two confirmed tornadoes in SK, today: one east of Regina (N of Wapella) and one south of Prince Albert (both a tornado and waterspout). A third funnel was sighted near Quill Lakes but there hasn't been any confirmation of a touchdown, yet. Photos I've seen are nice looking tornadoes. No damage reported yet, either."
