Happy New Year eveyone. Interesting situation setting up for Thursday and Friday (plus Saturday, when things freeze again).

I just need to hear some thunder. Didn't hear anything last night

It's been a winter...

They're forecasting 50mm of rain and thunderstorms for St. Catharines on Thursday!

Quote:
Thursday night, 20 February
Rain. Risk of thunderstorms in the evening. Amount 15 to 25 mm. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming south 40 gusting to 60 near midnight. Low plus 4 with temperature rising to 10 by morning.
^^ The EC forecast above now says 15-25mm, but all day long Wednesday on the news the radio was saying the forecast was for 50... so who knows, we might just get some clouds and a light sprinkle.

We got a half decent thunderstorm here in St. Catharines Thurs. night. It started around 9:30pm - some strong CG strikes and loud thunder, moderate rain.

A nice night for February !

I was up at a friends place in Aurora and we had a minor thunderstorm blow through at about 11pm. We had a few bright electric blue flashes followed by a rumble of thunder. It wasn't much at all but it got the season off to a start which was good enough for me.
