TORNADO WATCH FOR: =NEW= WINDSOR - ESSEX - CHATHAM-KENT =NEW= SARNIA - LAMBTON =NEW= ELGIN =NEW= LONDON - MIDDLESEX =NEW= HURON - PERTH =NEW= WATERLOO - WELLINGTON =NEW= DUFFERIN - INNISFIL =NEW= GREY - BRUCE =NEW= BARRIE - ORILLIA - MIDLAND =NEW= PARRY SOUND - MUSKOKA =NEW= BURK'S FALLS - BAYFIELD INLET. RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON. Yeah, I just seen the tornado watches. Do you guys think tornado watches will be issued in Northeastern Ontario?

didn't realize the watches were posted.......now i have no idea where to go lol.......so many counties under a watch.....looking at the hrrr earlier it seemed like anywhere from extreme sw on all the way up the shore of lake huron had the most cape/shear......the composite reflectivity showed strong cells coming through the goderich area again........

Tornado watches issued in Northeastern Ontario including my region. First tornado watch in 2 years I believe.

Looking like things are brewing up.....no one expected tornado in Godrich. Now everyone expecting one in Xtreme SW ON.....

Blanket Tornado Watches now....EC is being extra cautious today. Must be Godrich running in the back of their minds.

There is no such thing as a blanket tornado watch or any watch for that matter. A tornado watch means conditions are favourable for tornadoes which they are. 45-65kt verticle shear, favourable hodograph curvature, strong forcing, destabalization, strong flow at 850mb and 700mb. Wouldnt be surprised to see more than 1 tornado in ontario today
