Friday, August 4th Storm Potential

I've been watching models closely and it looks like we may have our first shot of an organized severe weather potential in this crappy year so far.

The NAM and GFS are both in agreement that a...

June 20 Severe weather potential

Just had a look at the SPC Day 2 outlook and it looks like we have a slight risk covering a lot of S. On.

Re: June 11th forecast looks interesting

At this point it looks as if widespread early convection might suck energy out of the atmosphere for storms later in the afternoon...though tomorrow has been notoriously hard to predict. Hopefully...

Re: Are our storm seasons getting weaker?

It certainly would seem that way, hell I keep hoping with every passing year since the tornadoes of 09 that it'll be a strong season, only to have them crushed every time. It seems every year since...

Sept. 5, 2014

Crossing my fingers for some severe weather action tomorrow, as you all know this year has been a real bummer for that. Looking at the models, seems like CAPE values are going to be crazy (as high as...

Re: Canada Day Severe Weather (July 1)

Looks like nothing much is developing, guess that decaying MCS that went through really modified the atmosphere ahead of the front and took out a lot of the energy from the atmosphere. At least we...

Canada Day Severe Weather (July 1)

Surprised no one posted about tomorrow yet so thought I would start the thread. Looks like my area (GTA) will miss the most intense action, which is slated to occur farther east :( . An interesting...

Re: July 19th 2013, the big day!

Getting some very nice Mammatus here in Vaughan at the back end of the storms Anvil, will probably upload pics later (pictures were taken on a tablet, USB cable appears not to be working).

Re: July 19th 2013, the big day!

Been watching a line of weak thunderstorm cells moving across Michigan, they appear to be struggling to fire up with weak convergence along the front. Been thinking they may strengthen when reaching...

Re: July 19th 2013, the big day!

Tice, this definitely does look like the Outbreak of 2009, possibly even worse. We have something big in store, at least I hope. During that outbreak, Tornadic circulation passed within a few hundred...

Re: July 18th 2013

Seems like those cells that were moving out over lake Huron from Michigan earlier have mostly started fizzling out, real shame :( . Like tice said, conditions were likely to strengthen those storms....
