Woke up to pouring rain, lightning and thunder. The weather network issued a lightning alert for Oshawa.
I'm not sure if this is a new addition to the weather network...I haven't noticed it before....

Looks like tommorow might get interesting, the spc's model has us in the 15% for most of ontario, looks like it might even extend far into the northern portions but hard to say since they always cut...

It seems likely tomorrow could catch people by surprise. A round should come through in the morning, with a second more intense round later in the day. The main threat will be large hail.

Apparently a tornado may of touched down in Verner (10 minutes west of Sturgeon Falls) and a nursery was evacuated in Garden Village (directly east of Sturgeon Falls)

Not a huge day, but tomorrow certainly could bring some decent storms to southern ontario. A corridor of up to 1750j/kg and good shear and a nice 500mb jet coming in we could get some action.
