Interesting, there are weak mesocyclones at the east end of lake erie/ niagara as well as a weak tvs. i was just coming home from niagara falls and with the breaks in the clouds thought i saw a small funnel briefly take shape, lower scud clouds were moving relatively faster than mid level clouds, ground wind from NE scud moving N and upper cloud deck moving east. Lots going on up there right now.

The storm really intensified after my post. I thought it was going to be a weak storm and went to bed. About 15mins later I hopped out of bed and watched from the window as I was treated to continuous lightning and thunder, very heavy rain.

What a great start to the year!
