Fourth Tornado of the Season Confirmed
This afternoon EC confirmed that a second tornado touched down on June 17 near Stroud, south of Barrie. It was rated a 'high-end' EF1 tornado that snapped and uprooted a number of trees and threw a good sized shed onto a nearby farmhouse. All the details are below.

Fourth tornado of the season confirmed from June 17 storms.

A cold front spawned a number of strong to severe thunderstorms this
past Tuesday across Southern Ontario. A second tornado has been
confirmed from this event. It occurred in the stroud area which is
between Barrie and Innisfil. It is to the northeast of the track of
the Angus tornado already confirmed from that day. This tornado
occurred around 5:30 PM.

Survey teams have rated this tornado as a high-end enhanced Fujita
scale 1 (ef1) event with maximum winds between 155 and 175 km/h. The
tornado had a path length of 750 metres and a maximum width of 300
